Compliance Support Specialist Pay: $17.00 per hour Job Type: Full‑time (40 hours/week) Location: San Antonio, TX (On-site) Consumer Directed Services in Texas, Inc., an affiliate of Disability Services of the Southwest, supports individuals who self‑direct their care by processing payroll and ensuring program compliance with State and Federal requirements. ⭐ About the Role We are seeking a detail‑oriented Compliance Support Specialist to support our CDS program by reviewing employer and employee files, completing routine audits, and assisting with key compliance tasks. This position is essential to maintaining accurate records and ensuring we meet regulatory requirements. Responsibilities- Audit client, employer, and employee files to ensure required documentation is complete.
- Review electronic files using audit tools to verify accuracy and compliance.
- Assist the Compliance Manager with documentation related to potential non‑compliance and corrective action plans.
- Complete document production requests for outside agencies and communicate with stakeholders as needed.
- Perform random checks of accounts payable, payroll, and billing; assist with year‑end reconciliation.
- Identify areas of non‑compliance and support education or process improvement efforts.
- Assist with contract audits, annual compliance reviews, and department training.
- Maintain confidentiality and follow all applicable State, Federal, and company policies.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- 2–4 years of experience in auditing or a related role.
- One year of healthcare experience preferred.
- Bilingual (Spanish) preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel; ability to learn agency software.
- Ability to type at least 35 wpm with 80% accuracy.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent organizational and time‑management skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills, including active listening.
- Comfortable reviewing documentation and following structured processes.
- Experience handling PDF files and electronic documents, including opening, reviewing, annotating, and organizing files within digital systems.
- Extended periods of sitting and computer use.
- Ability to handle, review, and organize documents.
- Ability to communicate clearly in person and by phone.
