Job Title: Attendant - Supported Employment(DSSW)

Position Summary
We
are seeking a dedicated Attendant -
Supported Employment(DSSW) to provide
assistance that enables individuals with disabilities to sustain competitive
employment. This role involves delivering intensive, ongoing support to
individuals who are self-employed, work from home, or are employed in
integrated work settings alongside individuals without disabilities.
Key
Responsibilities
- Ensure client
safety within their work environment.
- Assist clients
with job-related activities as needed.
- Provide
individualized supports to sustain paid employment in integrated settings.
- Facilitate
employment in settings outside the individual’s residence.
- Make employment
adaptations, supervise, and provide training based on assessed needs.
- Participate in
service planning team meetings.
- Provide
transportation necessary for participation in supported employment.
- Monitor and
document client satisfaction and job performance.
- Submit weekly
timesheets and complete required documentation promptly.
- Prepare
quarterly progress reports on client goals.
- Attend workshops,
training sessions, and in-service meetings as required.
- Maintain
confidentiality and comply with agency policies and program standards.

Education &
Experience Requirements
- Must be at
least 18 years of age.
- One of the
following:
- Bachelor’s
degree
in rehabilitation, business, marketing, or related human services field with 6 months experience
serving individuals with disabilities.
- Associate
degree
in related field with
1-year experience serving individuals with disabilities.
- High school
diploma or equivalent with 2 years’ experience serving
individuals with disabilities.
- Documentation
of paid or unpaid experience required.
- Must not be a
legal parent, foster parent, spouse, or relative of the individual
receiving services.
Additional
Requirements
- Current CPR
certification and training in choking prevention (Heimlich maneuver).
- No convictions
for crimes related to care of aged or disabled individuals.
- Reliable
transportation, valid Texas driver’s license, and auto liability
insurance.
